JVC JA-S31 problems after recap

hello friends

did recap of the electolitic capacitors of my the JVC JA-S31 which was fully fine prior to work.

First i did recap of the tone control scheme and amplifier started without any problems, next day i completed amplifier recap and now facing following issues

1. Fuse blown, so i put a jumper
2. Protection relay oscillate imidiatly after startup with very high friquency

Double, no triple check to see if any capacitors are backwards.

It is never a good idea to put a jumper where the fuse goes. You could have caused more damage or major damage where there was none before. :mad:

i checked them many times, design is simple and all "-minuses" are looking the same side.
 
If you can, show us some pics. I or someone else here might be able to see a mistake you might have missed.

Make sure the minus are all grounded.

No offense but why did you feel the need to recap a working unit? If it worked fine before, it has to be something you did during the recap process. Quadruple check the orientation of capacitors compared to the old one's. Honestly, that's all it can be.

EDIT: Check and make sure you didn't accidentally flow some solder over two or more thin traces and create a short. Been there, done that!

Also, if you didn't take a good pict of the unit before the recap, search the web for picts of your board, to see the orientation of all the caps you replaced.

As said, put the fuse back and if it blows, you have a short circuit, build a Dim Bulb Tester to avoid damaging more things and try to find the short circuit.

It's obviously some mistake you are not seeing yet, but jumping the fuse could cause another fail, so relax and proceed step by step following instructions.

The unit won't fix by itself so don't keep blowing fuses. You can do more damage.
