I have a JVC JL-F50 Turntable with a Pickering XSV 3000 cartridge. This turntable has not seen much use over the past 10 years. I occasionally used it to to play old favorite albums that I never downloaded or replaced with re-mastered CD's.
I recently upgraded my receiver and speakers, and I discovered that records sounded great on the new setup. Unfortunately, with recent use, the direct drive turntable is not playing correctly, as the speed is modulating.
I am wondering if it is worth spending anything to have this turntable fixed (if it can fixed) or if I should consider getting another used or new turntable. It appears that the Pickering XSV3000 cartridge has some value. I can't find much information on the value of turntable.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
