Picked up a cheap JVC JR-S301 Receiver at GW the other day (it was so ugly I had to have it). Finally got around to opening it up and cleaning it out and found that the TXX-112-1 PC Board Assembly is loose and appears to have a missing fuse clip (holder) for F4. The fact that it's loose doesn't appear to be hurting anything.
F1 (5A) for the AC Block is there and is good. F2 (8A) and F3 (8A) are on the PC Board Assembly and are good. F4 (1.8A) just isn't there. F2 - F4 are going to the Power Transformer per the service manual schematic.
Receiver powers on and functions correctly but there are no indicator lamps for the Signal and Centering Meters and the Power Meters. The meters are working correctly and the Function Select LEDs are working correctly also. I looked at the lamps and the bulbs themselves are good. The meter lights also light the tuning dial.
I'm not very familiar with JVC equipment. If anyone has any experience with something like this on the JR-S301 (or similar) or has any ideas/recommendations to try I'd like to hear them. If I'm reading the schematic correctly and F4 is missing does anyone have a good source/lead to get a PCB fuse holder (probably 5 X 20mm horizontal)?
