I’m stumped on this one. I have the above which has worked fine until today when it’s suddenly stopped receiving a record signal. I’ve bypassed the amp and connected a source CD player direct to the REC input and nothing. The REC LED is illuminated, so the mechanical coupling from the REC piano key is still in place and working. Any ideas?

The first thing I do, any time I have this kind of problem with a cassette deck is, open her up, find the long rec/play slider switch, and soak it in Deoxit, and wiggle it back & forth several times. Then go from there.
