I just picked up this old JVC Record Player & AM/FM Radio table top unit. The amp is working and the radio plays, so does the turntable, but unfortunately the turntable is running at unsteady speeds. I am not surprised by this issue. I am surprised to find no references to this unit thru various searches on the internet.
My guess is it needs the usual cleaning, new lube and possibly a new idler wheel. (if it has one).
Does anyone have any knowledge of this unit and/or any experience with the most problematic piece for this generation Nivico tables?
