So I have a JVC QL-A5 and am in the process of replacing the quartz lock light. I have not be able to hunt down a proper service manual as of yet. Because I do not have the service manual, I have had to do some testing. This is what I have found out:
- tested an LED and a bulb as the quartz lock light. The LED burns up in seconds. The bulb stays lit. So it is a bulb and not an LED that is being used for the quart lock light.
- the bulb flashes off-on, off-on, off-on ... qucikly and repeatedly when quarts lock is engaged. I watched videos of this turntable online, the flashing of the quartz lock isn't supposed to happen.
So, a few questions. 1 - does anyone have any history with these turntables? 2 - What might be causing this constant blinking? 3 - Does anyone have a service manual that they might have scanned and can share?
