Jvc ql-y66f tonearm ??s

I have the jvc ql-y66f turntable. Mine only has the straight tonearm with the fixed headshell. Can I put a removable headshell piece at the end of my straight tonearm? It has 2 screws below the fixed headshell that removes that so couldn't I just re attach a removable one from a different jvc tonearm with the same two screws? Just wondering if anyone has ever done this. Thanks for any responses

It's possible I guess but not that easy. You would need to find or make a collet or collar that would match the interior dimension of the arm tube and headshell to match that. Chances are that you would have to actually shorten the arm tube to achieve proper length too so would lose those holes anyway.

Would probably try something like this. And the i would have to re align everything to make sure the length was good.

This turntable has interchangeable tonearms. Why don't you want to buy the "S" tonearm? The "S" tonearm allows for mounting universal headshells.
