Hi all,
I’m restoring a JVC SEA-80 equalizer and want to repaint the case in the original silver/aluminum finish. I’ve seen similar finishes on other vintage JVC gear from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s.
Does anyone know the exact RAL code that matches this silver color?
From photos and comparisons, it looks close to RAL 9006 (White Aluminium) or RAL 9007 (Grey Aluminium) — but I’d love to hear from anyone who has done a respray or color match on one of these units.
Bonus if you’ve used a particular spray brand (Motip, Montana, Simoniz, etc.) or had it mixed professionally.
