JVC trash rescue

mrr1

Just Analog
Saved this JVC JL-A20 from death this morning. It's got the usual scratches on the cover and needs a belt and cart. Cleaned it up a bit and it looks great. Not TOTL , but still a nice looking
table. I can't understand why people just kick this stuff to the curb.

nice, jvc tables are quite good, and the models that are heavier with s-shaped tonearms are very very good imho.

all of them sound very good.

that's somebody who thinks that nobody wants an obsolete old turntable since vinyl's dead.

I'm looking for someone like that to give ME their stuff... LoL

Someone like that gifted me with a near mint Linn Axis a couple of months ago! :music:

drool :-) nice one! well that's how I got my yamaha c-70, m-70, t-70, infinity rs-6bs, dsp-700a, yamaha cassette deck, technics sr-300, scott 337, technics cd player, paradigm sub, energy/jbl custom bookshelfs I frankensteined together myself... free is great :-)

All gifted??!!!??!.:yikes: I'm movin' to your neck of the woods.

all gifted, 3 different sources. the subwoofer and technics receiver were gifted from a friend. everything else was craigslist-free section luck on my part.

I'm basically never planning on changing my preamp/power amp. as long as it lasts it'll be my choice. best I've ever owned by a mile.

Free stuff around here is few and far between, so this JVC was rare indeed. Got a Pioneer SX-424 a few weeks back that was free from a friend. It was so bad I decided to scrap it. It was improperly stored and was full of cat hair, mold and smoke. Even though it was Pioneer's low end receiver, it hurt to junk it.
