K-horns tubes and solid state?

My way of solving a similar problem on a budget was to find a really nice tube preamp and pair that with a McIntosh SS. I still get this creamy tube sound but with lots of quiet power (no buzz or hum) for my Cornwalls.

I run my cornwalls with a pair of MC 30's that are only 30WPC (they actually tested out at 38 WPC when I had them rebuilt) and they will run you out of the room before you get the volume knob at 50% and still clear as a bell. the cornwalls are only 98dB sensitivity vs yours at 105dB sensitivity. I have tried them with some high powered mas ss and did not sound near as good.
