KA-7300 channel unbalance

Any ideas what could be causing this. The right channel is slightly lower in volume than the left. More noticeable at higher volumes. By slightly I mean it can be compensated for with the balance control and it sounds good. No distortion. I really could just live with it but I wonder what it could be. I measured the voltage at the speaker terminals (dc offset) and I get 56mv on left and 45mv on right. Is that telling anything? I read that there is no adjustment controls for the offset on this amp. I have not taken the time to try cleaning the controls yet as it does not have any static, or dropout when working any of the controls. I just got the amp and I suspect it is all original.

Will do, I had the cover off already just to see how clean it was, pretty clean, and somehow I forgot to clean the controls while I was there. Thanks.

I cleaned my pots and switches but no change. Some day it just might have to get rebuilt but until then I can turn the balance.

Check cable connections - maybe re-seat them entirely. If the issue persists, switch the cables for the left and right channels to rule out cabling/speakers entirely,

If you have another amplifier, run the PRE OUT from the 7300 into the other amp. If you still have to move the balance knob, the issue is in the preamp section of the 7300. If all works normally, your problem is in the power amp section of the 7300.

Similarly, if you don't have another amplifier but DO have another pre (or a cell phone with a 3.5mm -> RCA cable), you can connect to the pre-in jacks to rule out the pre-amp section.

Ive thought about trying an amp like suggested above but dont have one. I think i might have a preamp somewhere however. Havent laid eyes on it lately. Good ideas to figure out which section the problem is in.

10-4 on that, i just havent gotten back around to messing with it. Yes i can find out which section it is in but the problem will still exist. Will be good to know though. Thank you for the help.
