KA-7300 relay driver transistor

Hi
I recently acquired a Kenwood KA-7300 integrated amplifer. Initilly it has some static but I cleaned the switch and pots to eliminate that. Initially for 2.5 weeks the relay was working fine and clicking within 1-2 secs.. First time yesterday when I turned it on it took about 4-5 mins or so. Today I fired it up and the relay would not click on no matter how long I left it on for. But the times it did click on the amp worked perfectly.

So I did some research about this amp and came across a thread here
http://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/ka-7300-relay-driver-transistor.277328/

According to EchoWars suggestion I was looking for the component but I could not find Panasonic TO-126 - 2SC15670S-ND in stock no where!
Is there any substitute for that transistor which I can buy?

Any help will be highly appreciated!
Thanks you!

I'm not a tech, but most people here say do not use NTE unless that is all that is available. I was hoping EchoWars would step in and make a suggestion. BTW, the price of the KSC2690A from DigiKey plus shipping will be less than the NTE.

If you MUST have this particular transistor you can get it here.

However a relay driver transistor is a non-critical component (in audio terms) and there are quite a few commonly available substitutes for this device.

Maybe KSC2690A?

This one is fine in my opinion - even the pinout is the same.

Also Pete's suggestion BD139 is OK - same pinout.

Note that "2SC15670S-ND" is a Digikey part number - so you will only find it on the Digikey website.

2SC1567 appears to be obsolete ..
KSC2690 are plentiful and cost pennies
original qk2 is 2sd414 (q)
