Can anyone suggest a replacement amp for a Kenwood KA 791? Also, is there a source for identifying the normal progress of what Kenwood manufactured after the KA 791? I purchased this as a complete stereo system with the cassette tape, equalizer, CD, & am/fm tuner back in 1991. The standby light is on with the amp, but will not power on.

Here you go! Generation before yours, no remote, but is a sweet little amp. No remote may be a deal breaker... I'm in no way affiliated with the amp in the link, just familiar with the series. It is also 120 wpc, so it should perform as good as yours. I'm not too familiar with the amps from the era yours came out in, so you may want to hunt around to see if you can find one that looks like yours with comparable specs.
