Kanga Kiwi Cool A Go Go

Per previous - it looks like the "agrarian" scenes were part of the original video. There is consistent edge artifacting throughout the video - it looks like it got transferred from an old film. Other than the "Tom Terrific" self-promo at the beginning. My guess is that these 1960's Aussies were making references to African American slavery in an unsophisticated slightly goofy manner not unlike a lot of the silly things that came from English bands during the same era. So unless anybody complains about being offended I say let's just leave it.

Speaking of great covers. Zoot do Eleanor Rigby. OK it 's a little out of the 'go-go" time range (1970) and their hair has become scruffier. Cool nevertheless and they blew their bubblegum pop reputation out of the water. Lead guitarist is Rick Sprigfield.

Great stuff Johnno. Little known fact about Rick Springfield - he fought in Vietnam -
In 1968, at age 17, the Australian musician was entertaining U.S. troops in Vietnam, when the Americans came under attack. Springfield helped load mortars to repel the onslaught, and one of them killed a Viet Cong soldier.
Take that Ted Nugent and Iggy Pop!
