Kappa 8 Pre-Final

Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum.
Thanks for accepting me.
I have recently purchased a pair of Infinity Kappa 8s and would like some advice on which is the best PRE-FINAL combination to use, without mortgaging the house. Currently my system is sparse and does not include a PRE ... The output of the DAC directly drives a Crown PSA2, but I feel that it lacks a bit of detail and listening is a bit tiring, especially in the medium / high range, while the bass is well present. Do you think by inserting a PRE the Crown could sound better or should I direct my gaze elsewhere? What do you think about Final like BK or BGW?
Thanks to those who will help me

how bout some pics of them legends. I own a set as well.

I was pushing mine with a hafler XL-600 amp and a NAD series 20 preamp, they are not in my current lineup at this time, just sitting in the back room. they are power hungry monsters. need a big amp to run them properly.
