Kappa series quality

Would like to hear from any kappa speaker owners who could compare their kappa series speakers with others brands /models in their collection. I just picked up and refoam a pair of kappa 7 but have not had a chance to get to serious listening.

I can't really answer your question since I haven't actually heard Kappas, but I can say that that line are the only Infinitys I'd consider. The EMIT tweeter is supposed to be top notch. But the Kappas look cooler than most Infinitys. I'd like to hear some.

i like my kappa 9's had them for a while quite power hungry I push mine with 250 wpc i too have refoamed the woofers on mine had to replace a midrange unit also over the years very nice speakers in rotation with a pair of ns-500 yammies

I've had Reference Series 6 Kappa (sold recently), and now have Reference Series 7 Kappa, and the build quality on these is great, really solid, as long as you don't give them a bath. :D I would recommend them to anyone, although the midranges (Polydome Ks) seem to be problematic after enough years, and are getting costly to repair or replace, since Infinity stopped producing replacement domes/coils. [Anyone have replacements? I need a pair or two! :D ]

That said, I think you mean the "Kappa X" series, not the "X Kappa" ones (number after the word 'Kappa' instead of before it). I've seen and heard lots of them, but never owned any. They seem to be well-made, also.
