KC to San Antonio to NOLA to FL & Back

I will be making this trip, via large vehicle, the next two weeks. Be in San Antonio, TX for a couple of days then head to New Orleans for several more. Then to the Tampa, FL area to pick up some Genesis APM-1 speakers and heading back to KC after that.

Anyone have anything near and around those places to bring back to KC or along that route PM and we'll see what we can work out.

What is it about Genesis speakers that makes us do crazy things? I made a similar trip from Seattle to San Antonio to bring home a set of Genesis 350SE.
 
I would have made my trip for the Genesis 350SE alone, but taking advantage of the trip, I brought home some other ones, Maggie's, Martin Logan's, Carver Amazing... It was definitely worth it, and a great and fun journey. To top it all off, I made the trip with my father and we spent 4 days just him and me in a U-Haul driving cross country through rain, ice, snow, desert, it was truly an adventure that the actual speakers went from being the purpose of the trip to being a memento for that adventure. I wouldn't change it for the world!
 
Ha! I did a somewhat similar trip with my son when he was a freshman in high school. Drove to New Jersey, picked up a pair of Infintiy 9.1's, then drove to Florida for the rest of his spring break and picked up a pair of Sony SS-m7's. You are right - good memories.

On the San Antonio leg now for those that might need something picked up.
 
I just drive a lot for work since I go to multiple offices and am prone to having to go somewhere else quickly. And I drive a Ford Expedition EL 'cause I like the room. And, sometimes the Karma comes back to me in the people I meet and get to listen to their speakers/systems..........so it's kinda cool for me too.

I am heading back from Fl through TN. But, I have to be back in west Tx next Thursday. But will probably fly that trip.

Oh, what a shame, I would have love to have seen those Genesis! Anyway, if you're still in San Antonio and have time to meet, let me know and wet might be able to grab a beer and talk a little.

Kurt, are you home now or still travelling? There were some JBL L5's that Moebuster had in Tennessee that we were trying to get here.
 
Nick - In NOLA now. Will be in FL Saturday. Hope to pickup my speakers then and start heading back. Will be going the Atlanta, Nashville, St Louis route back so let me know if I can help. You have my number.
