Keeping secrets... Great under the radar gear.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have a piece of great vintage gear or two that still flies under the radar, and you're afraid to talk it up on the internet because you're worried that everyone will find out about your favorite little unknown gem, and the prices will skyrocket?

Seems silly, but what with the way prices have gone completely berserk on vintage gear.... There are certain pieces I'm just a little hesitant to mention just how good they are, and how relatively cheap they remain.

I tend to spread the word anyway...and then I watch the price go up.

I even see listings on ebay saying that I liked the item in the listing. That is kinda strange.

Don't appreciate people cashing in on my tips but sharing info is important to me.

Although creeping up in price, some good deals are still out there for their gear.
Hard to find, these speakers sound phenomenal.

Some department-store gear was OEM'ed by very reputable manufacturers, to the point of simply re-badging their own gear. The trick is to know which ones they are. Research and patience...

Not such a big secret anymore....but Realistic stuff still sits low on the totem pole. Deals can be had at times.

Onkyo from the late 70's to early 80's, receivers, amps and integrated amps are not as popular as their competition from that era. But I like them much better.

Once I find a gem I broadcast it. How else will I be able to reap the benefits of my find unless others agree with my observations?
