Hi
In about 1982 my wife bought a pair of these speakers and a nakamichi tape deck and amplifier/receiver.
We gave up on tapes in early 2000s, but the receiver and speakers were still in use until recently, with a CD player. Unfortunately, the receiver has died, reason unknown, and living in Switzerland we know that the cost of repair here will be exhorbitant, if it's even possible.
So, we need a new receiver / amp. (These days I guess it would be a streamer and an amp, either together or separate.)
But how do we deal with the KEF Kube? Nothing has a tape out any more...
Can anyone suggest a setup which would work (remembering that we're really not in any way expert)? Most components we've seen don't seem to have a separate pre-amp and amp, so that's not an option either - or is that between the streamer and the amp? Or are the lovely KEF 102s dead?
Thank you!
Jestyn
