No. However, they would most likely need some work. I.e, tweeter ferrofluid and woofer donuts replaced. Neither are difficult, but they are somewhat involved. Especially the donuts.

Cabinets and grills appear to be in decent shape, and they have the original feet. Great sounding speakers (I have a pair) when all the work is done. They do require high current power to sound their best.

Good deal. I bought mine for $800. But mine had fresh surrounds put in and fresh ferrofluid. Only downside is the speaker fabric has to be redone

I've not heard the Dahlquist, so I couldn't say. The KEF's are rich, full and image well, while still being fairly detailed.

It could be just my own personal opinion, but the DQ20, I remember them as more rounded over all frequency where as the 104/2's midrange will come out of the box and slap you on the face. Well restored 104/2 can be super fun with the right music material. You would need some serious power to do them justice for both though.

The Dahlquists are magic in their element (acoustic guitar, vocals with emotion.and magical imaging) but the bottom end is lacking.
My ads L1090/2 are my go-to for midrange.

I had a pair of 103/4s and they had stunning midrange presentation, though need a sub to supplement them properly (and yes, plenty of power). Sold them as I didn't want to deal with the donuts and fluid replacement. The L1090/2 did most everything well and go lower in bass. Never had DQ-20s but not many I've owned have "out-imaged" my mirror-imaged DQ-10s, which I still have.
