KEF 203 (Caprice II) help.

I recently picked up a pair of KEF 203s (AKA Caprice II) to replace my Dynaco A 25s, one of which was noticeably "quieter" following a woofer repair. Upon getting the KEFs home, however, they appear to have the same problem.

I have, of course, switched the speakers side to side to make sure the problem doesn't come from the amplfier. It is indeed the speakers' fault.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this? Could it be solved with something as simple as a re-cap? I've heard of someone else having this same problem with these speakers: any chance it is an intentional choice by KEF? (i.e: to enhance imaging somehow)

The speakers have matching serial numbers, and do not appear to have had any repairs done.

Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
