I saw these on eBay for 159. Pictures were out of a guys trunk. Seemed legit... He was only 45 minutes away so I took a shot. Cosmetically they were Great after I cleaned them up. I pulled the drivers nominal impedance was good. Crossovers had no visual defects, but when I fired them up both b200 drivers were distorting badly. Turns out they were reglued of center. Both coils were rubbing. So I separated and glued them again. No rub! They are curing now. I'll upload pics when their back together. I'm curious to here these.

Well I did some light listening and these things are liquid smooth. Flat but musical. I put on Dire Straits, Bothers in arms and did an A/B with my 103.2's. There was no contest. But I rebuilt the 103's with poly caps and new Ferro fluid in the tweets. I might to the same with these. Anyone else using these?


 
Yes! I have a pair in the bedroom system. When I got mine, GW find, they also had a voice coil rub on one woofer. This I unglued, centered and re-glued. Rotated the other woofer. Think it more of a sagging suspension issue. My pair replaced a pair of Polk Monitor 7A's, the ones with Peerless tweeters. The Carlton's go much lower than the Polks. They were so good that I bought a pair of the KEF 105.4's. I haven't re-capped mine as of yet, as to me they sound very musical. The tweeters don't use ferro fluid.
 
Glad to here they don't use Ferro fluid. Makes it easier to do. The 103's had no ferrro fluid either, I like the result afterward. Recapping these isn't too bad. I post the results when I do it.
