Kef LS50 has a flaw?

Hey all, recently I went to a Kef showroom and had them set up the Kef LS50 speakers. Midway through a song, there was the sound of plastic flapping coming from the speaker and when I looked at the speaker, the outermost part of the driver was vibrating a lot. Is this normal? Anyone experienced this before?

sounds to me like a surround has come loose. listened to a set briefly in the store and I didn't hear anything like "flapping".
I prefer the older classic Kef
 
something was wrong with that speaker.
Mine have never produced anything but the signal they're fed, and I've played them far louder then you would expect a small speaker to go.
