KEF T33 SP1210 tweeter repair?

I'm the original owner of a pair of KEF 103/3 speakers, complete with stands and KUBE. After noticing that they sounded a little off, I read around (mostly here) and decided to replace the disintegrated central donuts and replace the ferrofluid in the tweeters. So far so good.

But when I opened up the tweeter, I managed to break a teeny tiny wire going from the dome to the channel where you put the new fluid. I had to go back to a video on youtube to figure out the real problem: the voice coil stayed stuck in the old mucky ferrofluid when I removed the dome. Dang!

The first picture shows the dome with one wire attached to the VC, still in it's little channel. The second shows the dome and VC removed. You can see the broken wire, as well as the attached one.

Is there any hope of repairing this or should I just replace it? To repair, I think I'd have to get the intact wire wound back on the VC the rest of the way - it looks like part came unwound. And reattach the broken wire - probably by twisting the ends together and adding a dab of solder? Then somehow glue the VC back to the dome. And somehow get the positioning just right so if moves freely in the magnet channel, and make sure I put the VC on the right way (if it's upside down, the tweeter will be 180 degrees out of phase right?).

Any thoughts on repair?
Any thoughts on a source for a replacement? I saw that for some tweeters you can get a replacement dome assembly, but I haven't found one for the SP1210. Is that an option?
Is there a suitable aftermarket replacement? I assume I'd have to replace the tweeter in both speakers if I went this route.

Chances are good that I'll end up selling these once they're restored. I haven't been able to find an AV receiver with a tape loop and that's required to use the KUBE.

Thanks,
Dave

Maybe try contacting KEF about replacements or the 'bay for good used?? I'm not (yet) familiar with KEF products, so I don't know if KEF stocks replacements for that model tweeter. Keep in mind that something from the auction site may be older and the ferro-fluid may still need removed and replaced. Maybe you can find a used pair that's been serviced from the auction site?? Other AK'ers will be along to provide advice to help you. Good luck!
