Hi Everyone! I haven't been around in a while but always valued the advice here. I have recently re-acquired a Kenwood 700M amp after selling my last one to fund purchase of a Fisher X202B. Then I got a Pioneer SA-9100, sold it, and now I'm back to a 700M. Haha! I also purchased a 700C to go with it. Both seem untouched as far as service goes. I had to do a full clean of the 700C to get rid of dirt, cracling volume pot and switches etc. Only thing I've done besides cleaning for both units is new lamps.
They are definitely in need of servicing. The amp has a mild hum. The preamp has an audible noise floor. I feel the amp needs to get checked out first. Anyway, I am in the SF Bay area and would like to get these serviced with the EchoWars treatment, though he seems to be gone? I suppose could do it myself. I can solder/desolder. I have a multimeter. I don't have any other test tools though.
So, my questions are:

So, my questions are:
- Anyone in the Bay Area or SoCal that nows how to do this and is A) willing to help me or if not B) willing to do the work? I really want to learn and want these things to excell.
- Is there a full parts list? I have poured through previous posts to get a grasp of work for both units but it is daunting.
- Does anyone have a ballpark estimate for what it would cost for the EchoWars treatment for the 700M and the 700C? This is if o were to have someone do it. I would definitely like to go the film cap route for the C.
