NO Affilation with seller though I exchanged e-mail regarding price. Seems to be a motivated seller so perhaps someone here might be interested.

Vintage Stereo Equipment Audiophile HIFI - $100 (Chesapeake)

<1 of 9>

Hey guys, I recently came into some decent stereo equipment that I have no need for.
All of it is in great physical and working condition.

I have an idea what these sell for on ebay but im trying to avoid ebay as long as possible. I hear nothing but horror stories from sellers.

ANYWAYS so here is what I have to offer.
Kenwood Basic C2 Stereo Control Amp- asking $100 OBO
Kenwood GE 1100 Graphic equalizer- asking $150 OBO
Kenwood Basic M1D Stereo Power Amp- asking $100 OBO
Yamaha Natural Sound EQ 500 Graphic Equalizer- asking $100 OBO
Pioneer 6 disc cartridge cd player- Make offer or buy two pieces above and get this for free.

I am open to offers on all of this.
If you want all of it, I will make you a great deal.

I would say that "plenty of issues" is not accurate. The Basic C2 has one known weakness with its balance control. If that control does go bad, you can either find a working balance pot (not common) from a donor unit, replace the balance control with a different pot, or (most commonly) do a small mod to take the balance control out of the circuit.

As a happy C2 owner, I can say that the controls tend to be smooth and clean. The volume control, especially, is nicely tapered and a pleasure to use. On my C2 even the balance control is still working fine.

If the one for sale on CL is in good cosmetic and operating condition, $100 is the right price.

Well, I've also heard of and experienced cold solder joints and the general need for deoxit. Plus, I have another button going out on mine that I'll basically bypass like the balance bypass. But, when working, it sounds amazing!

The Basic M1d is what catches my eye in that list... it's a very good little amp and well worth $100 if you ask me.
