Hey guys,
So I came across a dusty old Kenwood KA-7300 in a friend of my dad's garage who passed away recently. Offered to buy it from his widow but she refused the money and ended up just giving it to me for free, score! Took it home, cleaned it up and it has worked great so far which I am very pleased about. Anyways, my question is does anyone know what the specs are on this amp for 4 channel output (A+B)? I just bought a pair of klipsch rp 160m's and want to give bi-wiring a try. But for whatever reason even the manual for it doesn't state the output when in A+B mode. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Still only a two channel amp. A and B just puts the pairs in parallel. Make sure your speakers are 8 ohms if you are going to use two pair.

The specs for 4 ohms will give you what you are looking for.

No valid reason to bi-wire those Klipsch speakers by using the A+B channels together,it gains virtually nothing.

In order for you to use that KA-7300 in a bi-wire set-up and get the intended effect,it would be best to use the pre-out jacks & Y that to 2 seperate external power amps.

You could loop one of the pre-out legs back into the amp-in jacks for the KA-7300 and use that for one half of the bi-wire set-up (I would probably use the KA-7300 for the tweeters myself),but you would still need at least one external power amp to get the intended effect of bi-wiring those Klipsch speakers,and doing it this way you would hafta figure out what power amp would be a good match to the KA-7300's power amp & those Klipsch speakers via some good old fashioned trial & error testing.

Bi-wiring using speaker pair A+B DOES NOT WORK on this amp, it connects the A and B speaker pairs in SERIES when A+B is selected, not in parallel. There are only a few amps that do this and this is one of them.
That being said, it is possible to use a combination of speaker outputs to avoid the signal going through the speaker select switch, so you get a more direct path. A look into the service manual points the way...
 
Great dual mono integrated amp with plenty of power for those Klipsch speakers. But if you score a power amp with gain controls it will allow balancing the two amps outputs for biamping.
