Kenwood ka 770d ab speaker selector/switch issues

Hello, I been servicing this unit and came to the problem of a broken part for the AB speaker switch system. So I don't know the proper name for this part, it is the metal (aluminium) inside a plastic track? that connects the actual switcher on the board, to the knob on the face of the amp. I will put pictures of it so it is clearer, but the switch has this sort of track system where it hooks on to the board switcher and the knob to pull and push thru the space in between the knob and the board, and the aluminium flat snake inside the blue "tracks" snapped and since it is made of aluminium I can't solder it back together (i would tig weld it, but I don't have the correct set up, and I bet it would just melt it is so thin). Tried to bond it, but it failed, so I just set the slider switch on the board for both A and B to be connected as a compromise, but the guy am servicing this unit for wants to sell it and it would be nice to buy the part from Alps industrial switches, to replace this one so he can sell it as a complete working unit, but I cannot find it on any website. Anyone has had this issue and what did you do to fix it? Thanks for any help!
