Kenwood KA-9100 Cleaning Small Plastic parts??

Hi All
I need some help about how to properly polish small plastic parts from a not well kept Kenwood KA-9100 I recently received.
Please see the picture below.
There appears to be something like corrosion on these, now very clean, small plastic parts. There are nicks as well that seem to be caused by this corrosion.
There are a lot of small crevasses, and 90' angles that need attention.
I know about Dremel, and such.
But I want a little bit more detail in your kindly, and helpful replies as to what is needed to help me with this.
I do not know how to do this. I do not want to damage these part in the process of leering.
What specific polishing compound(s) should I purchase?
What specific polishing wheels do I need to buy?
Please list links or names of what I should get.
What methods, approaches, and, or advice to doing the polishing?
Perhaps link to videos that might be helpful?
My budget is a little wide, but not endless.
If you need more info to make a good reply, please ask.
I am not in a rush to get this dome, but it has been on my "to do" plate for a while.

Plastic pieces I wash in dish soap using a toothbrush to scrub the gunk out of the corners and tight areas. Lighter fluid works good on sticky substances. Anything more than that usually ends up making the problems worse.

Have also mixed up a bit of simple green in a bucket of water to clean knobs and other parts.

Just take your time and don't scrub too hard, go gently on those parts.

I put plastic parts like knobs and such in a little ziploc with a squirt of Dawn Ultra Platinum Powerwash dish spray (the name should have a Mega or Supreme thrown in for good measure) and hot water and leave sit overnight. Rarely need any scrubbing afterwards.

These needed a little more work than just a soak.
I found something called PolyWatch polish. Using a slow dremel like tool with cotton disks. I got the greenish tarnish off, and most of the deeper tarnish and blemishes off. Though not 100% new, they look about 95% and I can like with that.
Next I have questions about the glass on the faceplate. I can remove it but how to to glue it back in place when I'm done polishing the plastic sidebars?
Also how to remove the old glue off the faceplate without scratching or removing the lettering.

I use Novus #1 plastic cleaner on plastics like the meter covers. They aren't really glass.

Would a heat gun help with the glue? Not sure what it is made from. Alcohol doesn't soften it?
