Kenwood KD-3070 counterweight screw specs

Hello guys,

This is my first post here! I'm looking for some advise from owners of Kenwood turntables. I assume a part of them has a similar connection of the plastic tube holding counterweight to the tonearm tube via resin stub drawn out by screw. If you checked photos, you can find that this screw was broken during shipping and the part of it stays inside the hole of the main tube. I'm trying to drill it out with a tiny drill bit (0.5-1.5 mm). Could you please tell me what are the exact length of the thread part? I assume it should be M2 screw with non-standard shape (check photo). Any ideas about the thread pitch? I will also appreciate any advises how to remove the broken piece if you had the same experience. Thank you in advance!

Here is a small update for people who probably might have the same issue!

1. I drilled out of the stuck screw consequently with 0.5-1-1.5-2 mm drill bits

2. Removed all the metal leftovers from the hole with a vacuum cleaner and a small piece of chewing gum smeared over the smallest 0,5 mm drill bit

3. Used 2.5 mm drill bit to widen the hole and made a thread with M3 tap. It was quite easy, cause the part where the screw stuck is plastic.

4. I put in the M3x20 screw into the plastic tube holding counterweight through the resin stub and screw it in the new thread.
