Kenwood KD500 - armboard mounting templates

I'm looking for a template to make armboard for a Sumiko MMT for my KD 500 if anyone happens to have one.

Or does anyone know if drilling a hole dead center of the armboard would work? Looks like one of the 2 armboards that originally come with the table has a center cut mounting hole.

Sumiko Premier MMT Specs:
  • Effective length: 239mm
  • Overhang: 17.3mm
  • Mounting distance: 221.7mm
Install a blank armboard. Make a simple tonearm mounting gauge: cut a piece of thin hard cardboard, draw a line in it, mark two points exactly 221.7mm apart. Make a hole (7mm in diameter) centred on one of the marks. Insert a nail through the other mark. Put the hole over the spindle and use the nail to mark the location of the tonearm mounting hole.

do you know the exact diameter of the hole I should drill in the armboard?

got yourself a kenwood finally? Good on you.

Don't forget to oil the motor, it makes a world of difference.

^^ A guide on properly lubing the motor on the unit. your platter should be up to speed in 2 seconds flat, if not its time to lube the motor.
