Picked these up for 50$. I just hooked them up. They are loud but not detailed in anyway. The 140-170 Hz range needed to be brought down a bit at high volume. My EQ definitely will come in handy when changing genres. Overall not terrible for 50 but these will not be permanent.

What is everyone’s thoughts or experiences with theses?

I'd give $50 for those just to try them out.I'll bet they are worth a lot more to a Kenwood buff.They look to be in very good condition.These were meant to play rock at some serious volume.I don't know that they can do anything else well.Also your setup is all wrong.Never have a turntable on a speaker,especially a high powered speaker.Put them horizontal as intended on some stands to get them off the floor and push them with a high powered amp or receiver.

The set is about all I can do with the space I have. I got the coffin sitting on auralex foam as well as the tables. So no feedback. Looking for a better amp, they definitely need it.

These speakers In original condition are up for 2500$ a pair on eBay. I don’t have the top/bottom pieces but I gave the grills (painted white). I’ll probably sell them by year end to get something better.

I just recently picked up a very nice pair the other day. Sound quality is ok for what they are. As for looks they are definitely over the top. King of the kebuki's for sure.


While doing a google image search I came across a pair that someone built new cabinets with dovetailed oak. I may do this with mine if I decide to keep them. Pictures attached...

Quite possibly because the drivers appear to have no cohesiveness.Look where the tweeters are on each.

I believe the original cabinets actually have slid clips that hook them together. I have not separated mine to know for certain. The refurbished ones with the dovetailed oak are clipped and glued according to the owners description.
