Kenwood KL 3080

I just got back into vinyl. I picked up a set of KL-3080 for $30.00. I brought them home and hooked them up to my Yamaha CT-610. I love the sound of them. The only problem I have is they sound "muffled".. I can't get much high end out of them. My other question is I have seen some with 4 speakers with one tone knob on the back. Mine only have 3 speakers with 2 tone knobs. Where there 2 different speakers sold by Kenwood with the same number?

Changing the caps is absolutely the way to dealing with the "muffled" aspect of their sound. From your pictures it looks to be a straightforward job with these speakers. I often use the polypropylene caps from parts Express for this job. Unfortunately I can't help you with your second question. Good luck with your upgrade!

So do I just replace them with the same rating?
 
Yes, just replace them one for one with new caps of the same capacitance. A higher voltage rating is fine.
