Kenwood KR-7400 light issue

Hi...Have a kr-7400 that the lights started to always stay on. Used it for a little while by just plugging and unplugging until that got annoying. Ready to get back to using it. Any ideas?

About the only way that could occur in a 7400/6400 is if the power switch were failing to open. My suspicion is that is the case, and such occurrences are well-documented at AK. It may be time to remove and service the switch, and ultimately to permanently repair the problem with a load relay.
