Kenwood KR 8010 Receiver

What would be a fair price to pay for a Kenwood KR 8010 receiver? I realize it's a beast,boasting 125 WPC into 8 ohms.I've got a line on one for sale,but I'd like to know what I should offer,assuming that its fully functional.

If I were to sell mine I would consider in the $200+++ range. This receiver has been super reliable since I bought it about 8 years ago. It is still feeding the Quartets in my living room today. They are beasts and have great sound qualities.

I guess it didn't do me much good anyway.A friend steered me to this KR 8010,at a church tag sale.He inquired about it last week,and they told him he could buy it for $200.I went there today,and I also inquired about it,and they told me $450.And here,I always thought that greed was a sin.whats crazy,is all the stuff they are selling,is donated to the church,and yet they are trying to get rich.To hell with that jackass.I would have liked to buy it,but its ok.I did manage to pick up a Kenwood KT 615 tuner,and a Kenwood KA 801 amp,both for $60.

While not what you originally wanted you bounced back and did well. How does the Kenwood KA-801 sound compared to your KR-9600?

I won't know about the 801 for a while.Having it looked at by Sicman.He's the local Kenwood tech.It powers up,but thats it.Hopefully,it will be an easy fix.

450 isn't insane IMO, a marantz 2325 would fetch that. Just saying that at the 125 wpc level the prices start to get a little crazy.
