Kenwood KRF-V4070D short circuiting

Hi. I have a kenwood krf-v4070d, that keeps turning off, after 5 seconds, and the standby indicator blinks. I have tried to take all inputs and outputs out. But it still keeps short circuiting.

Any idea if it can be fixed?

It was working before.

Short answer yes.
I'd guess you likely can replace with something better for the cost of the repair.
Unless you have a deep attachment for it for some reason, I'd suggest you start looking new.
I didn't look, there may be a market for the remote, knobs, cord if you maybe want to see.
Please feel free to get other opinions. Good luck!

Just so you know.
Most shops charge a fee to diagnose (a bench fee , generally in the 100-125$ range)
Most will credit that amount towards the repair if you agree to the quote.
If you figure your time, packing up , driving, picking up, you can see piece would have to have more value to make it worth your while.
There are many hobbyist who do repair work (more for the love of the hobby than the reward of the payday) if you mention your region, you might find someone to look at it and confirm whats wrong without a big (any outlay?)
Its still an older lower tier av receiver.
I tell you all this more for education than to try to get it repaired.
At least in the future you'll understand your options better.
BTW Welcome to AudioKarma! Nice to see young hobbyists joining:thumbsup:

Thanks. I assume the problem comes from the speaker output. I think I'm going to sell it, to some who have the time and will to fix it. I've got it for free, by a family member, with some speakers too.
My intention with this post, was just to see if anyone had an easy fix to my problem.
Thank you for the fast replies and time.
