Kenwood KX-1030 (Cassette) Lid Adjustment

Hello,
is there any possibility to adjust the cassette lid of a Kenwood KX-1030 tape deck?
When the lid is closed I can see a "gap" on the top of the lid on the right side. The left side looks OK.

I removed the lid but that's just plastic and I see no option to adjust anything here.

I checked out the schematic and part list of the tape deck and this part is called "Housing arm ass'y R" (part number 179.

Can anybody help out?

I also have a KX-1030 with the same problem, but haven't had time to fix it. On mine, the issue is that the door is coming unglued from the plastic frame and that causes it to be further away from the faceplate on one side. I would check if your door is not coming unglued like mine.

If that's not it, I think there's not much you can do, I don't remember the door being adjustable on this deck. You could also try slightly tweaking the faceplate to make it line up better with the door, but that could cause issues with the switches rubbing on it.

Thanks @Ldsc2002 ... My door was glued so yes, not so many options to fix anything. I tried to measure the distance of the housing arm(s) to the faceplate and yes, on one side it's less than on the other side. A friend of mine told me that I can tweak the housing arm a little bit to adjust the lid. I'm still thinking about it because I don't wanna damage anything :-D
