So in my efforts to learn more about the ins and outs of equipment I've taken a few steps. Joined AK, joined a local audio society, and I just took apart a Sony 5 disc cd player, and fixed a few issues it was having. I figure taking something apart, and putting it back together is a great way to learn about how things work. Until I took the top off of this cassette deck.
It's making a clicking sound, and the tapes won't start or play. My instinct is that the repair is beyond my skillset, but I was hoping some of you could at least explain to me what's wrong with it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the link:
