Kenwood LS-408A a dead tweeter! Help!

This is my first post but I have spent many informative and pleasurable hours on audiokarma. Thank you all and thanks in advance for any help I may receive here. I found these Kenwoods here near Vancouver. I refoamed the woofers, read many of the positive reviews, couldn't wait to hear them. But I noticed a lack of sound from one side and found nothing coming from one tweeter. Took it out and tried a measurement, nothing. I don't know what, if any my options are. Eg: Can it be fixed or not? I can't find any used on-line. Some years ago there was a very interesting thread here on the LS series. Big Tuna seems to be an authority and others had good info too. Can anyone help me out? I would appreciate it a lot. Sorry if this post is long-winded.

Patience my fellow LS-408x owner (I own the LS-408b),one will pop up sooner or later.
I needed a mid as one of mine had cosmetic issues that was bugging me,and yeah it took awhile, but parts for these do hit the market.
Also, you can look for a tweeter from other models of this same series of LS speakers as well.

They're worth the wait IMO,especially if you have a Kenwood system and want some correct/matching speakers as the crowning touch.

Good luck with these, sorry I could'nt be of more help with this.

Thanks Bret, I appreciate your reply. I got these speakers for a song, one of the baffles was ungluing and the cabinets are badly in need of a refinishing. The blown tweeter was a surprise though. I have also noticed that the caps are different in each cabinet. Not sure which are the originals, one set is larger, will have to look further. A project for sure but more than I anticipated. Patience will be needed. Thanks again
