Kenwood Model Eleven iii

Just picked up a Kenwood Model Eleven iii and the FM Dolby does not work. When you engauge the switch the sound from the left speaker is very faint and distorted. The right channel is even fainter and barely audiable and that is with the volume cranked up. Has anybody ever delt with the Dolby FM and is there a relay that might need cleaning?

If the switch isn't the problem, and if the board is getting its voltage from the power supply, then the rest of the circuitry is pretty much two NE545B Dolby IC's.

Look to see if you're getting the proper +22V at pin 10 of the power supply (pin 11 should be about 14V and pin 12 should be about 33V). If that looks good, then perhaps the IC's are bad, or there's some switch in the signal path that needs cleaning.
