Hello folks,
I'm new here and I hope I'm posting in the right thread. I have a vintage Kenwood stereo system and I'm at a loss how to hook it up. I'm not sure if I will also need another part like a receiver or not? Ans I believe I'm supposed to use rca cables to hook it up? If you don't mind I'm not that smart on this sorta stuff so in English terms would be great for me to understand things. Lol I'll list what I have below if anyone can help me on this then great! THANK YOU ALL!
Kenwood Integrated Amplifier KA- 896
AM FM Stereo Tuner KT-596
MULTI Compact Disk Player OP-R896
Stereo Double Cassette Tape Player KX-W 896
Speakers are JBL LX500
I'm sure this isn't the best stereo system out there but for me it will work. I just want listen to music, cd,tapes and radio stations. Nothing fancy, maybe later do a surround sound.
Thanks again

All of your sources (tuner, CD player, cassette deck) plug into the input section of your integrated amplifier.

The speakers will plug into the amplifier speaker output jacks.

Speaker wires have color markings on them.
A white marking or gold color wire is your reference to + positive on the speaker hook up terminals.
Silver color wire is for - negative terminals
