Kg4 Refoam?

I just picked up a set of kg4 speakers off of cl but they need some love. The person that had them before me put a bunch of rubber cement around the butyl surrounds but they are still tearing in places. Has anyone ever Refoamed a set of these? I have been doing some searching but haven't found an answer. Thanks for the help

The surround on these are rubber, so no need to refoam, unless someone busted the surround. Maybe someone will come along with an answer. You could use foam surrounds, but that will change the characteristics of the speaker.

Thanks for the reply. the rubber on the speakers is really dry and there are multiple cracks in all but one speaker the surrounds look like regular ones installed inside out but i cant find a source for new ones

Simply Speakers has a rubber edge kit they recommend for Klipsch 8" rubber-surround woofers, Part # RSK-8:

I have not used them; found them with google.

I talked to those guys last week. they arent the inverted surround but i may go ahead and try them anyway. thanks for the help
