Kickstarter - LOVE Turntable

Reminds me of the VW Microbus record player from years ago...

Doesn't make any sense from a fidelity point of view. Convenience and "coolness" factor might make it a viable product, but I won't be buying one.

"LOVE plays vinyl the traditional way, with a stylus, with the crackles and pops, with that rich, warm analog sound that bring each song to life."

Who need that?

I think it's designed more for the smart phone people, especially for those whose phone is smarter then themselves... Anyway you got to love this guy's reasoning. It goes like this:

"I wondered... Why is the record always spinning while the stylus stays put(ch)? I decided to flip that around!"

I am so glad this guy didn't wake up one morning wondering why the turds always flush down the bowl and made no decision about that.

I was going to donate until I was forced to watch that spastic lady dancing in the Kickstarter video. This item might seem cool to some, but it's not a revolutionary product.

Interesting concept but how could a decent amp possibly fit in such a tiny space?

Also, $600? Are they nuts?

What about cartridge alignment? How does that work on this thing? So it says in the ad that there is 'no weight' on the needle - say what now?How does that work? What about records that are not standard thicknesses, thin 70's 80's albums, 180g, 200g? How does it deal with vibration? So many questions not addressed yet they claim Audiophile SQ?
Sorry not even gonna give this a second thought.

Hell, he should make one for under the record. That way all one would have to do, is just flip the record for B side listening.

If he was a good engineer, he'd make it with styli on both sides of the record. It'd only take one half as much time to listen to their collection.
