Kindell (sp?) Tower Speakers

Hi,
I have a pair of these(can't remember correct spelling) and have tried to find them on the NET but all I get is the Kindel book thing. I got these in the mid-80's and still use them today. Wsa wondering if anyone here had speakers by this company and knew where I might find some info? I guess correct spelling would help! Thanks!

Here's a pic of a PLS-A. I have a pair of these from the mid-80's! I'm going to see how a 50 amp Pioneer SX-750 can run them!

Hi,
Yes any info on any Kindel speaker would be greatly appreciated! These speakers sound actually fantastic to me the only "problem" to me is that they need room to realize their true potental! I'm now setting up a Retro Stereo system going back to LP's and have even got a Teac R2R! I'm going to set this up in my day room and get them out of the bedroom and let them breath a little.

Please see this thread I made a few years ago about the Kindel Phantoms I found dirt cheap on craigslist.

Mine are unusual. Each has two separate crossovers installed (one externally in an aluminum box). The internal and external crossovers are swapped on each speaker. It's like they made a production change between the two speakers since they have consecutive serial numbers, but decided to include both crossover version.

They are good speaker that need a sub if you put them in a bigger than a bedroom space. I still have them so I guess they are pretty decent.
 
Those are cool looking speakers. Do they work? How do they sound? Got any pix of the guts?

Bill Kindal was a highly respected stereo speaker designer in Riverside Cali. He built speakers for about two years and then his cabinet maker quit and he closed shop! My speakers weight about 130 lbs. each! That is about all the info or history I can come up with. I bought my speakers from a friend that I would label Audiophile, as he bought and sold equipment to feed his never ending quest!

This was in about 1987. He also had some smaller Kindel's that was half the size of mine but sounded very good. I bought mine as they were used and had an attractive price for what they were! I think retail on mine was about $1600 new. If you can give them room with a good amp, you feel you are in the studio with the musicians!

I am not home now but when I do get home in a week or so I will put up some more pics as I will be setting the system up!
