The real KLH's Model Four was (EDIT: oops!) a two way speaker with two tweeters.

What about the ones in that CL link would ever make you think they were "old" KLH -- even Singer-era KLH?

They are not vintage KLH from the 60s or 70s or even 80s. They're from a time long after KLH was swallowed by the multi-nationals. I can't see where they were made, but I'm betting it wasn't Cambridge.

Klh 4

These speakers were made when Infinity owned KLH. These are some of the best bookshelf speakers you will ever hear. They came with an Analog Bass Computer. I sold these speakers when they were new and have a set of KLH2 in my stash. They were made in the early 80's

The KLH 1 thru 3 came with the analog bass computer, the 4's did not. I bought the KLH 1 from the Armed Forces Exchange in RAF Lakenheath, England in 1982. The pair I bought was the demo model as they were discontinuing carrying them at the time.

Probably the best bookshelf speaker for their size anywhere that you'll ever find ;).

You can find fliers for them here:

I know the KLH Analog Bass Computer speakers -- they do have pretty good repute.

If the titular speakers in this thread sound like the Infinities they resemble... well... not my cup of tea, though there are certainly folks who like them.
