KLH 6 woofers for KLH 23?

[savv]

I have KLH 23 speakers whose woofers have been replaced by non-originals. My question is would woofers from the KLH 6 be a suitable replacement? If not aside from KLH 23 woofer, which other woofers from other models would work?
Thanks. for your advice.

I have a pair of 6's what do you need to know?

The Model 23 (and Model 5) woofer, at least as I understand it, are a bit different from the Model 6 woofer in that the magnet is larger and the cone is a bit heavier, so the two probably wouldn't perform the same in that cabinet. That said, the two woofers are interchangeable from a mounting standpoint, so some experimentation might be interesting.

Would the woofers from KLH 6's be a drop in replacement for the KLH 23?

Not knowing the dimensions of the 23 the 6's including the outer ring are at 10.75"
