Hey guys, picked up a klh model 25 today. One channel sounds really good but the other is quiet and distorted. For a sec it was working fine but then it started doing it again. I switched the channels so I know it’s not the speaker. I also contact cleaned all the pots, wired connections and still no luck. Any ideas on where to start?

get the schematic / repair manual and if you don't know how to read one learn how to.

Only KLH experience I have is with a 24, but probably similar electronics. It was a problem on the FM MPX board but the thing was full of poor quality caps, and I wouldn't be too surprised if thats your issue. I know its a knee-jerk guess to say bad caps but it wouldn't surprise me. I would definitely diag it down to at least a section before just throwing a pile of parts at it and hoping for the best though.
