I have a pair which I bought used in 1964 I think. I used them as my main speakers for many years. My teenage son managed to do some serious damage to them by turning my Mc 2105 as loud as it would go and walking away! I had repairs done, right now I don't remember exactly what. I have them hooked up to my TV and have had them hooked up that way for around 20 some odd years I guess and they seem fine. I have thought about hooking them up instead of my BSRs to see if I like them better.
I believe they were originally intended to be bass units for the KLH electrostatic speaker systems as those did not have much bass, however for some reason they had mid and high range drivers added and were sold that way.
I have not changed the settings on the remote crossovers in years.
