KLH Model 12

[bdmcn71]

Hi, I found a pair of KLH Model 12 speakers. The crossover boxes have been rebuilt. Overall condition of speaker is probably 8/10. Very little information out there in regard to current day price and value. I know these are very rare. Something like only 5000 produced?

Can anyone offer up serious info or experience on what these speakers sell for in today’s vintage market? The price tag on this pair is $900. Is that a reasonable price?

Any real info would be appreciated.

Thanks

The Twelve's share same drivers as the Model Fives, in a much larger cabinet. I'm a big fan of the Fives and other KLH models, but the Twelve's are just too big for me, and most other's I believe. Fives can be found for around $250 range. To me, the Twelve's wouldn't be worth much more.

Having owned a pair of 12's my thoughts are don't waste your time on them; that pair is ridiculously overpriced.

I'd love to have a pair.
While I appreciate that the crossovers have been rebuilt, I wouldn't pay that much for them.
If within close proximity [by which I mean very close proximity], I might do $300.

Question of value...moved to D&S.

Way too high. I only managed to get ~$300 for a nice pair with recapped crossovers and a spare set of grills.

I could have bought a pair from the original owner about ten years ago for $125.I was in a different audio trip and was up to my neck in speakers.
