KLH Model 25 turntable

Trying to help a friend with a KLH model 25 turntable. Everything seems to be working properly except the rubber wheel (see pic) that makes contact with the drive:
A: does not move freely, and
B: has round burn spot(from the drive, I suspect)
Can the wheel be found and replaced?
I’m a musician that has worked on equipment for years, but I don’t know ZIP about this stuff so any help is appreciated!

Welcome to AK, I don't see a picture, but I assume you are referring to the idler wheel. The rubber can be done. Terry's....Ah I'm blank on the full name, but someone will have it, hang tight.

Thanks! Is there supposed to be a rubber grommet on the drive wheel?
 
Would not expect to see a rubber to rubber connection at this interface because of the need for proper speed control. Compressibility and wear of the rubber would make that very difficult. The motor shaft should be metal, turning the idler the proper speed which is transmitted to the next piece. But someone knows as k z said.

The tires can be rebuilt. Terry's Rubber Rollers or Thevoiceofmusic can take care of it.

There is a fiber washer under and on top of the idler but thats it. If the idler won't spin free, fair bet the oil is gummed up down in the bushing. Pull the clip and the washer(s) off, then get the idler off. Clean the bore of the bushing and the post it sits on. For this one maybe some WD-40 or similar penetrating oil soaked into a Q-tip and run down the hole would make sense. Its supposed to be an oil impregnated bushing but they can go dry and if someone slobbered the wrong oil in there it may have turned to glue.

When the new one goes on, put a drop of sewing machine or similar oil on the shaft before putting the top washer and clip on.

honestly the whole thing probably needs a good clean and lube. The platter bearings are usually very gummy, and the grease on the mechanism turns into something closer to peanut butter or rock candy than grease.
